Can I connect at wireless n speeds?
I have a d-link dual band router, and it's all set up. My problem is, my sister sees the 5GHZ signal on her laptop that broadcasts the wireless n signal and I don't. My laptop runs a wireless n draft card. Is that why I can't connect at the full speed? What can I do to resolve this?

N-standard wifi can be broadcast at both 2.4GHz and 5GHz. Your card probably doesn't handle 5GHz. Just set an N-wifi network at the 2.4GHz range, and you should both be fine.

Wireless N can be either 2.4Ghz or 5.8Ghz. Your adapter must be 5.8Ghz to connect to the 5GHZ signal. Otherwise, your N adapter should connect to the 2.4Ghz signal ok, but may not perform as well as your sister's 5.8Ghz laptop...
