Do you think Pansexual should be included in the LGBT title?
I know it's not really as common of a label as gay, lesbian, bisexual, or transgendered, however, I think I should get some credit! I mean, if people think I'm so open minded and that I'm awesome for being pansexual (Yes, I've been told this before), then I think I should get some recognition.
What do you think? Be harsh if you wish, I just want to know what people think about this.
Thanks in advance! (:
Pansexuality does not mean that I'm automatically attracted to everything. It means that I CAN be attracted to say, a drag queen, or a pre-op FTM. And bisexuality is different. Bisexuals are attracted to biological genders. I'm attracted to biological genders and gender identities.

I think it's far more important that "queer" gets included.
Because even if you add the "P", there will be people who are part of the community whose identity would not be covered by the acronym. Like for instance mine. Being a panromantic asexual myself, it would only be *partially* covered.
Whereas the word "queer" conveniently includes just about EVERYTHING that's something other than straight + cis. Therefore, it is far more practical to just use that as a catch-all term.

Pansexual isn't included because like other answers said it's a type of bisexuality, it's just more OPEN like you said not biological genders it also includes gender identity. It still counts as a type of gender and bisexual is to both genders and there is only 2 genders

I'm pansexual. That being said, I don't think 'P' is all that necessary. LGBT doesn't exactly limit itself to Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual and Trans. It can stay LGBT and still cover those whom are pansexual...

I think it's a really complicated issue.
Firstly: we have to remember that 'LGBT' is a highly recognised acronym that is almost always considered to include more than merely the letters included.
Secondlu: if we add the 'P' for pan, where do we stop adding letters?
Do we add one for 'Queer' or for those who consider themselves merely 'men who have sex with men' or Questioning or Asexual.
Our Community contains so many different groups with so many different indentities that it is almost impossibly to have a totally inclusive acronym. QUILTBAG (Queer, Undecided, Intersex, Lesbian, Trans, Bisexual, Asexual, Gay...I think) was recently suggested as a possible alternative to LGBT.
I just think this needs so much more thought to do than the good we will get back out of it.

I think that, if you're that open to relationships with those who don't really label themselves as a gender, you shouldn't really care about getting your label (pansexuality) into the mix.

Yes I think it should, many people aren't aware of this sexuality! I know because my friends are all like WTF is a pansexual? And I feel pansexuals are discriminated against sometimes.... I feel it is important to add it to the lgbtq title

No. The way it's used, it's already included under the B of LGBT. And you wouldn't want to be pansexual if pansexual ACTUALLY MEANT SOMETHING other than bisexual. It's not good to be attracted to everything -- think about it.

Yes of course. Why not? They deserve rights just like us and I actually feel they are being left out of the LGBT because we should include P but that is never there.

Pansexuality is a form of bisexuality so, I'm pretty sure that's why they haven't added a 'P' in LGBT.
