    f(x) = x^(1/5)

    f'(x) = 1/5 * x^(1/5 -1)

    f'(x) = 1/5 * x^(-4/5)

    f'(x) = 1/5 / x^(4/5)

    Hope this is clear!

    (1/5) - 1 is the same as (1/5) - (5/5) = - (4/5)

    d/dx of x^(1/5)= (1/5)*x^((1/5)-1)

    =(1/5)*x^(-4/5)
