Do I need to send my score/transcript/apply to all smaller campuses or the just the main campus for Penn state?
I'm planning on applying to penn state university park, and the university of pittsburgh main campus. As of right now I'm only sending my sat scores and transcript. If I don't get into either of the main campuses however, I'd like to go to one of their other campuses, like Pitt Johnstown or Penn state York. Do I have to send my applications to those specific campuses? Or can I just send them to the main campuses and be automatically referred to the others?
Also, I know Pitt has a rolling deadline for admissions, but in your educated opinion, when would be the ideal time to send applications? Thanks.

Hi Greg
For Fall 2012, now is a good time to send in your application. For PSU, you use the online application and indicate which campuses are by ranking them. In your case, you would put UP as #1, York as #2 [actually you ought to put Erie as #2] etc.
PSU and Pitt are both excellent schools.
I believe that all PSU campuses show that you graduated from UP. However, you might want to call the Admissions Office Monday and ask.
You would be wise to consider PSU-Erie, the Behrend School. It is a top quality liberal arts college but with state tuition.
