Only for the People from Mexico...?
If Juan Garcia had a baby with Yolanda Reyna, and name the baby Gilberto.
OK, this is the question, the baby's full name would be,
"Gilberto Reyna Garcia" or "Gilberto Garcia Reyna"
In America the mother's name comes first and sometimes it isn't used at all.
But I was told that in Mexico, mother's name comes last.
Could I have some information on this?
Thank you, Munchas gracias. y Espero que Dios los bendiga.

First answer is right. the paternal last name follows the given name, the the mothers last name. The word for "last name" is "apellido" and the apellido for Gilberto Garcia Reyna is Garcia. Sometimes people just abbreviate the maternal last name...like this...Gilberto Garcia R.

it is Gilberto Garcia Reyna! first comes the paternal and then the maternal, when a woman get married she will be in this case for example Yolanda Reyna de Garcia wich translated means Yolanda Reyna of Garcia so thats the way...
