Would this be a crime?

I've been thinking of asking users of Yahoo! Answers from around the world to mail me their expired/canceled passports so that I can start a collection of passports from around the world. I still haven't started, because it occured to me that postal authorities using x-ray may cause me a great deal of trouble... What do you think?

P.S.: Yes, I am asking you already, should you be willing to cooperate :P

Unless I've used a pen to scribble over/ripped out my photo, date of birth and other personal details, no I will not send my passport to you, expired or not =P
