There should be a little hose between your overflow tank (where you fill the antifreeze) and the radiator, just under the radiator cap. It could be pinched, missing, or clogged. That would explain why the antifreeze doesn't make it from the overflow tank to the radiator.

It could be that your plastic overflow tank is cracked and losing the antifreeze. Remove the radiator cap and peer inside (don't remove it hot - wait for it to cool first). See if it's really low. If you are losing fluid; and it's not leaking from the radiator or overflow tank, you could have a bad head gasket or cracked head. Check your oil. If it appears milky, you have a problem with the head or head gasket.

    There are three possibilities here...

You may have a bad Radiator Cap.

It may not be sealing to close the Radiator completely. Make sure

that BOTH seats are clean, and there is good contact from the Cap

to them. Sometimes it's just better to replace the Cap, with a replacement

which is specific to the Vehicle.

You may have a leak in the Tube to your Reservoir.

Check that the connections to the Tank and the Radiator inlet tube

are secure, and that the filler tube is not cracked.

You may have a Head Gasket Leak.

You can go to a Radiator Ship, and they have a device which

checks for raw fuel in the cooling system.
