I got the cochineal bug out of my baby prickly pear. Should it survive now?
Hi :)
I got the little bug out and some of the white fuzzy crap... Is it likely my prickly pear will survive? They're very hearty plants, but It only had two pads, and one of them is already dead.

The only way I knew I got it out is because it squished brilliant red. :)

I know very little about gardening but I hope you did the right thing and used that beetle for some food colouring.
