No offense, but you can't ask this questions without getting fan boy answers. However, myself being a Wii fan boy, while owning all 3 systems, is about as close as you get to a neutral answer.
My personal opinion would be the Xbox 360, simply because I feel as though more multiplayer options are out there as opposed to the Playstation. I also perfer Halo over Call of Duty, which Call of Duty is offered on both systems, while Halo is an Xbox exclusive.
However, the Xbox does make you pay for online services, which does kinda suck. And, while I don't use my PS3 mic nearly as often as my Xbox one, it hasn't broken yet, and I had to replace my Xbox one twice within 3 years. Xbox also makes a lot a noise too.
Both are good in their own way, but Xbox is the one for me.

Xbox360 is a good console, cheap, In some ways, but the graphics aren't as good as Playstation 3. PlayStation has free LIVE, so I've heard. But it's not as popular, so there's not ALOT of people who play compare to Xbox360.
Assassin's Creed 4 Revelations will be a truly amazing game, I hear It's a bit similar to the first game, Assassin's creed 1, but also, The story isn't supposed to be as long as Brotherhood, And brotherhood wasn't very long. I beat it in about 6 days, 3 hours of game play each day.
Modern Warfare 3 "IS" going to be a fun game, but It's going to be ALOT similar to Modern Warfare 2. All though the story will be completely different, It's still going to be similar. It 's still going to be a fun game!
Medal of Honor 3 Is going to be a bit like Modern Warfare 2, but more realistic. I don't really think realistic is a good word for it, but what ever, lol. Medal of Honor is going to be a fun game, I haven't played the previous ones, but everyone I've heard from that have played it, said it's fun! As in medal of honor 1 and 2.
It's a very hard "VS" question, because honestly they're all very good for both consoles. I'll do a little vote. Medal of honor would be better for play station, call of duty will be better for play station, and assassins creed would be better for assassins creed. I play both consoles, so I'm well aware of the graphics, and difference of both consoles. I can't consider myself as a "fan boy", because I play both. Vote results: PlayStation - 2 Xbox360 - 1. I'd say you should get them for PlayStation.
Yeeeeaaahhh... I think that was a bit too much typing for one answer... I don't give a **** though! xD Aha, I hope this helped, in.. some way.

The Playstation 3 is perfect. This will be my second one because I need one for the bedroom. I have a phat ps3 and now a new slim. The slim is much smaller and stealthy quiet. So far I like it more and it stays cleaner looking than the phat but i do miss the touch sensitive buttons. I've owned a ps3 for 4 years with no problems and i love it. great blu ray, best games, surround sound, full hd, and the free psn. Nothing compairs

If I was you I would get whatever most of your friends have. All my friends have PS3s and I got and 360. I like being able to play Halo and Left for Dead, but I would be nice to play with my friends. What I like about xbox is the controllers. People say that they are too big, but I like big because it actually fits nicely in my hands. I also like the "party" feature on xbox live. I like the ability to listen to music while playing and I like Kinect. What I like about ps3 is that it has blu tooth and blue ray and has mini usb ports on the controller. They are a TON of gay fanboys out there that get way too into console wars, but the truth is that both consoles are pretty much the same and you cant go wrong with either of them.

I have both and I play my 360 a lot more. It's impossible to get connected to the internet wirelessly with a PS3. I know my connection sucks, but its good enough for a 360.

I like PS3, but I think Xbox is better. 1, even though you pay for xbox live you get so much more advantages than PS3, like netflix, facebook, and you get add-ons and map packs a month earlier before PS3 and PC because you pay for your internet, i don't know if they've made the contract for the add-ons to be all released simultaneously but it is/was like that with add-ons on games

Sony has recently updated their PSN agreement so they are no longer responsible for what happens to your account or the credit card on it. so they may be hacked again and you will no longer be able to sue them. but then if you get a 360 windows 8 will support their games when it comes out so if you have a good pc it could be your xbox really. so the choice is yours just decide carefully because they are quite expensive now

Personally i prefer XBox...The buttons on xbox are easier and it has less crashing...PS3 has free network however and better graphics and more people have one. The better idea is PS3 I've played them I'd sell my XBox for one but my friends have the 360 so i'll stick with it but if you wanna save money and have better graphics PS3 is the choice.
