What should I do before & after getting a wax?

What should I do before & after getting my eyebrows & upper lip waxed? It seems that after I get a wax, I start to break out in that area. How do I minimize/eliminate breakouts after a wax?

    pain killer, and dont exfoliate, litely wash face

    Why not just speak to the professional who is doing the waxing? Wouldn't that be the logical thing to do?
