How do I write a good attention grabber about getting a dog?

(First of all, this ISN'T for school.) In my first question about an attention grabber, I needed advice in how to write one for a dog. So, I want a dog, I'm trying to convince my father into buying a dog. My parents LOVE dogs! But my father isn't sure if he would like me to have a dog or a hamster. He wants a dog because he thinks it could withstand the heat, but he thinks a hamster would be better because it's smaller and easier to take care of. I had a hamster, but it died a week later. You're all probably thinking 'oh, I'm not responsible enough to take care of a dog if I couldn't with a hamster.' well I was very responsible with my hamster. I fed it regularly, played with it, pet it, and did everything the pet shop told me to do. But it was blazing hot that one day, we kept the air condition on to it's temperature it needed to be on, but I guess it still couldn't withstand the heat. So I'm asking how do I write a good and persuasive attention grabber? (Please NO rude comments) Thank you.
