What is the difference between a ringtone and a ringback tone?

I have a new cellphone. I was shopping for ringtones and came across the new to me term "ringback tone" for my cell phone.

    Ringback is where people who call you hear the music, ringtone is where it comes from your phone when someone is calling

    A ringtone is the thing you hear when someone calls you. A ringback tone is the thing the caller hears when they call you

    YOU will hear the ringtone when someone calls you. The person callong you will hear the ringback tone when THEY call you instead of a standard telephone ringing.
