If I purchase an app from the app store, will the charges be added onto my electronic phone bill? If not how will I be charged for said purchase? thanks

When you make an iTunes account you'll have to provide them a credit or debit card for them them to deduct money from..so no they wont chaege you on your phone bill.they will only charge you from the credit card.

You will either use a gift card by typing in the code, or entering your credit info when signing up for an apple id. There is the option to put no credit info. The charge is made to the payment method in your iTunes account. NOT your phone bill. You will get charged data if not on wifi.
