Fell asleep with my contacts in :/?
I kinda sorta fell asleep and when I woke up I could hardly open my eye, my left eye hurts but my right eye feels normal. I rinsed out my eyes with my contact solution and removed my contacts and now my one eye hurts REALLY bad in light. It waters and stings and just hurts. So, do I keep rinsing my left eye out, should I stay away from
Light or try exposing it? I can't go to town right now cause everything is closed but I have to work at my pt job tomorrow and there is a lot of exposed light... Any tips, tricks or "home remedies"?

Any help? haha Thanks in advance :D
3 AnswersMovies9 years agoIs it just me who gets this feeling?
When you read how some kid wants a horse so bad and they continuously complain about how they keep pestering their parents or how they save up all the money they get for their birthday or Christmas, how do you feel?
It personally drives me insane..... All the costs of a horse aren't going to be covered by 20 dollars they got for christmas. They don't know how to properly care for the horse, and I could go on and rant for ever, but I just wanted to see if anyone else feels the same way I do..?
15 AnswersHorses9 years agoNeed some opinions on this..?
My mare has had a history of abusive owners (Both mentally and physically) and is a lot more.... sketchy? Then my gelding because I am only his 2nd owner and I know what his past was like. In daily interactions with my mare, she will find something scary and throw her head. This is where you come in...
Because Casey jumps at something, for example last night, my car keys (3 keys on a chain) Because I took my cellphone out and they were on top. So naturally I show her that they are not going to hurt her (Start talking to her in a calm voice and let her sniff the keys, rub around her body with the keys and finally try introducing them to her face, by then she is normally okay with whatever object I had in my hands), and by the end, I could jingle the keys by her ear and shes fine. But the process of it scares her, and I want her to get to a point from being freaked out to being fine with it, and I call that "Training" or "Desensitizing" her where as my mom calls it sick torture that I get pleasure from.
Another example is from tonight, when I went to place my hands on either side of her face, she whipped her head up so I went into the stall and started massaging her for head scratching her cheeks and try to make my way to the corners of her mouth. Obviously she hates it so its a long process before she feels calm enough to let me pet/touch her mouth area without her tossing her head.
My mom's main argument in this is "Why is it always her?! Go bug your other horse!!!!!!" I used to say fine, go up to my gelding and do what I was doing to Casey (Jingling keys, touching mouth and all that) And he sits there and takes it. So I would Say "Seems like hes fine with it, now can I try making Casey fine with it" And she would just yell some more and then leave angry.
So, basically, my question is, Do you think that what I am doing is, in my moms words, torturing her or, in my opinion, trying to desensitize her so she can be more comfortable with new things. If you think what I am doing is wrong, please give me advice on how to properly do it. I just drives me mad when she starts yelling at me fore doing that.
Thanks!
10 AnswersHorses9 years agoIs it possible to teach an older horse stall manners?
We recently built a tiny barn for our two horses and after the recent snow storm over the past few nights they were put in the barn. When I went to go let them out in the morning I noticed that my mare had only pooped and peed in one area, and it was a quick process to clean up, so I am assuming that this isn't her first time in a barn. With my gelding on the other hand, I know hes never been in a barn before as I am his 2nd owner, and the old place didn't have a barn. He had poop littered all over his stall and like 3-4 pee spots on the ground.
I was wondering if it was possible for him to learn to do what my mare does, and just do their business in one area, (He is 9 if that counts and my mare is 13) or if I will just have to just deal with the fact that he poops everywhere...?
Which also lead me to ponder, how do horses learn stall etiquette in the first place?
So anyone who can answer one/both questions thoroughly will be chosen as best answer, Thanks for your time! :)

3 AnswersBuying & Selling10 years agoOnline insurance quotes?
I've been surfing the web for insurace quotes. I am a first time car buyer and I am only 16. I want to find a site that can give me a very basic quote, like an area I can be confident in. I DONT want to have to enter my email, phone number or anything else of that matter. Just quick, simple and, well, general.
Best site to meet my "private" requirements? Thanks
Insurance & Registration10 years agoNeed a little advice with this :)?
So my friend recently bought a 5yo QH/Arab gelding that hasn't been ridden a day in his life. I worked with him and he seemed pretty stubborn with a halter and completely confused at first, but by the end he was great! Just a little to clinging, but I know how to deal with that
My question is, what is the best way for an unbroke horse to start leaning to go forward with the standard kick.
I got on him bareback today and he seemed totally fine with it. Because hes not broken, he doesn't understand the leg prssure to go forward, so i just got led around (Quite the accomplishment - pretty proud to say I was the first person EVER to ride that horse ;D)
I've helped start horses before, but this will be my first solo project so I wanted to know:
1. how did you get your horse to learn to go from a light kick
2. best way ever (Doesn't have to be quick, because I got all winter to work on this :))
10pts for best answer!!! Thanks! xx

2 AnswersCell Phones & Plans10 years agoStop a horse from pacing?
I've had this mare for a year and lived with her for 4-5 months. For that time, I noticed she paced.... A lot. She has quite literally dug 3 inch trenches alone our fences from constantly walking back and forth, back and forth. I want this to STOP. We have tried punishing her by smacking a stick against our deck rail when we caught her pacing. In the beginning it worked wonders and she stopped. Now she realized that the noise wont hurt her and she will stop and look at us, then continue. So I was wondering if there is ANY way at all to stop her from pacing. It's getting annoying and just terrible to see that huge trench.
Me being evil and fed up with it suggested "Shock" treatment lol. I'd never actually use shocks on her but some days it seems like a good idea. Anyway, is there any way to stop this annoying behaviour?

2 AnswersCell Phones & Plans10 years agoHow do you know when a girl is cumming?
I am 17 and haven't really been in the dating scene. I read over some thingsbut it didn't really help me. I personally don't like touching myself but I do enjoy a good session in the shower. I lay down on my back and hold it in the right spot as long as possible. the better it feels my back starts arching and i twitch all over and once it feels like I can't take any more I take away the shower head. After that I feel pretty good and my area feels very sencitive. I feel very relaxed and don't want to continue any more. Is that like an orgasm or something? Or did I *** or what?

I looked at places like Home hardware and Canadian Tire, but I am at a loss as where to look next. Any help/Suggestions?
7 AnswersHobbies & Crafts10 years agoSmall white bumps on my areola?!??!?
So last week I noticed a few small white bumps on my areola on my left breast. A couple days ago I noticed that the bumps went down on my left breast, but came back up on my right one. Not as many but still there. I'm 16 and I heard sometimes it means your preggo, but I know I'm not because I just got my period today. Is this a sign of cancer? =S I am very self conciouse so if I could, I would like to avoid my parent or doctor looking/groping my boobs.
Thanks.....

1 AnswerWomen's Health10 years agoAre they okay?? (20 characters)?
I've noticed for about a week or so that when I work my horses into a sweat (Happens easier now because of the heat) they will have runny white discharge. I know the clear snot like stuff is fine, but what does it mean if it's white snot like stuff? Are they okay?? Any help is great. And I can't go ask a vet because I'm either busy or they are closed. So if someone says its serious, I will make time to go to my vet.
Also, if it help any people, I could try and take a picture of what it looks like next time I ride.
Thanks!
2 AnswersHorses10 years agoAre these treats okay for my horses?
I have started giving my horses more variety of treats, but then I started wondering if they all were safe for them. The ones I know are safe are the crunchies, cookies, oats and all the tack store stuff. I also know carrots and apples wont hurt a horse either. But here are some things my horses enjoy that I don't know:
Sugar Cubes
Peppermints
Bananas (not often. Like once a month, if that)
Orange slice (just one)
Watermelon
Grape
raspberry
strawberry
Cucumber
Either or both of my horses love the treats listed above, but can some of them have a bad affect.
P.S.
Someone recently gave my gelding a whole can of coke (D=< ?!?!?!?!?!) And he effin LOVES it! like more then anything else. Is that going to hurt him at all????
Also, I will let him drink some of my apple juice if he tries. Is that safe or should I stop? I don't do it every day but will it hurt him?
Thanks!
7 AnswersHorses10 years agoHow long does it take girth galls to go away?
My mare got a couple girth galls saturday, and they were huge, but now they are almost gone, but the changes seem less and less as the days go by. So, generally, how long will a girth gall stay on a horse? And how long after they have completely gone will it be safe to put a saddle back on her???
Thanks!
