As Milliband and the rest line up to admit they got it wrong does anyone care anymore ?
As The Shadow Cabinet and the main culprits like Balls,Cooper & Darling line up to profess their regret at making a few financial mistakes while in Government why is there no sign of Bungler Brown the arch villain ?
I never use the Daily Wail as a source Lewis it's just a comic but not as amusing as the Beano or Dandy
Biftatheskunk you obviously didn't listen to the Great Leader telling the assembled multitude today that Labour got it wrong by failing to control the banks in 2007/2008 (maybe because so many Labour MP's work for them like Teflon Tony ?) You'll notice that Balls is avoiding giving any commitment to the unions to reverse the Coalition's cuts. Even Darling has been honest (?) enough to admit that if they had still been in office there would have to have been severe cuts.
Rodney A try lying down in a dark room with a wet towel on your head it might help.

I still care.
Whatever your opinion on the labour party - they *will* be re-elected. Maybe at the next election. Maybe the one after, or the one after that..etc - but it WILL happen. Personally, I live in hope that our politicians learn from the mistakes of the past, irrespective of which party they are with.
They lost the last election. It's right that they take stock, look at where they went wrong (as well as where they went right) and take that forward to be a credible opposition.
@biftatheskunk:
The last labour government aimed their tax rises at those least able to afford them in order to fund tax cuts and benefit payments to those who needed them least.
They criminalised ordinary people with needless draconian laws.
When university education was strugling to pay for itself, they just cut their funding - reducing the chance of social mobility for the poor.
The house price boom around the turn of the century, that made it virtually impossible for those on low incomes to afford a roof over their heads was kickstarted by Gordon Brown.
Yeah sure, they opened up a few surestart centres, but if you think that makes up for the above (let alone sending us into an illegal, immoral war - then I have to strongly disagree with you.

Yes some people do care.
I for one am sick and tired of hearing all the parties play the blame game.We are told time after time that labour are to blame for the banking crisis which was global by the way. If they devoted as much time to solving the situation as they do blaming each other im sure we would be in a far bette place.
Labour ruined the economy then did they? It had absolutely nothing to do with the global situation at all then? When the lib cons took over the economy had started to recover. That recovery is now at a crawl as a result of the deep and hard cuts we have had. When we are making 2 people redundant from the public sector for each new job created in the private sector unemployment will rise.It is at it's highest levels since the last con government. Is it really any cheaper to have mass unemployment than it is to scale back the cut backs and have some of those made redundant not made redundant. After all if they are working they have more money to spend and will aid the recovery of the economy.
Yes labour made some mistakes but at least they are willing to admit those mistakes. The lib cons have made their fair share of mistakes too.It does not matter who we are we all make mistakes. The trick is to learn from those mistakes.
Sadly in my opinion they are all as bad as each other.None of them are to be trusted as they have proven time after time after time. False election promises,Lies, unfairness.lack of action and the real biggie take from the poor to give to the rich.
If i had a choice i would go for labour as at least they actually try to do a little for the poorer people in our society unlike the cons who appear to be just pro rich! A little odd don't you think when the poor far out weigh the rich in terms of numbers.
They all treat us like mushrooms, keep us in the dark and feed us manure.
EDIT:-
Nope you are right i did not actually listen to the as you put it"Great Leader" telling the assembled multitude about failing to control the banks.I did however hear cameron say during his election campaign that he was going to get tough with the banks and tackle bankers bonuses. What did he do regarding this.Like i said earlier kept us in the dark and fed us a load of ....... Bonuses are still happening and as far as regulation a set of proposals were drawn up and won't come in to force for 15 years plus! So this policy is no better than the policy by labour.
Yes fair enough labour made mistakes and there would have been cuts but to cut as hard and deep as they have done has jeopardised the recovery. When the lib cons entered power the recovery ws under way.Now that recovery has pretty much ground to a halt.
We have seen vat increased and corporation tax lowered. The corporation tax is to try and help growth and has had little to ne effect. What is the point in giving rich corporations more money to invest in services and Products when you increase vat and reduce the consumers power to buy those extra products and services.Hardly what you would call a cohesive strategy for dealing with the issues at hand.
@ Terrier.
Disagree all you like i don't mind we are after all entitled to our own opinions.
Under the lib cons we have seen a huge increase in uni tuition fees. This really empowers those on low incomes to get a good education. Increase in VAT affects the poor a lot more than it does the rich.Cameron wants to abolish the top tier tax rate this year.Awesome this increase tax that has the biggest effect on the poor and then lower the tax that has the biggest impact on the rich is really fair.
The big society plans on privatising up to 25% of our public services. In the past all privatisation has meant is increased costs for consumer for these services.Energy costs, travel and water are all now more expensive than they ever have been.Privatisation is all well and good when adequate competition is there to keep prices low but they don't ensure competition. In the area i live there is 1 bus operation,1 rail operator and 1 water operator and has been for years and years and years. It is just an excuse for more backdoor privatisation..Remind me again who privatised these industries. Not the cons was it?
What happened to fairness and transparency.
I am not really enamoured with any party to be honest as i previously stated.I just think the cons have gone about these cuts with no real coherent strategy and exist to look after the interested of the rich. Why else did cameron try to backdoor privatise the NHS despite promising it would not be reorganised. Why else does he want to lower the top tier tax rate after raising vat and lowering corporation tax.
It's nearly 2 years since the lib cons entered power so it really is about time we were past the blame game. What we need is a properly thought out coherent strategy not a mix match of ideas that affect the poor in a negative way and the rich in a positive way

The above link shows Labour celebrating the death of the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland. They broke up the Kingdom they sold all the gold and destroyed our largest companies and made our armed forces an extension of the US army.
