Dumped by girlfriend, how to win her back?

So last night, my long-distance girlfriend of 10 months just dumped me. We live hundreds of miles apart now since she's in college.

Her reason? She wasn't sure she wanted to be tied down, she wanted to be able to have somebody closer, etc. I'm completely devastated, none of these reasons have anything to do with how I acted or done. She said she spark just wasn't there anymore.

I'm so shocked, and I want to win her back. She means the absolute world to me, and I just can't handle myself without having her beside me. I lost my virginity to her, so there's a big emotional attachement to that.

She said she still wants to be friends, and so do I, but I still want to be with her again.

Thoughts?

Update:

But she's been in college for one week. We've been together for a little under a year. I know her better than anybody. Are people really that cruel to ditch someone they've known and cared about for some stranger?

The only thing I can think of, would be to move closer to her (if that's at all possible). Other than that, I don't think there is much you can do.

She obviously isn't enthused about being in a long distance relationship, which I can't blame her for.

I Am Sorry To Hear That. LOVE is A Very Complicated Thing. SHE MIGHT BE SEEING SOMEONE ELSE OR. WANTING TO AND SHE DOESN'T WANT TO HURT YOU. I feel your pain. If you have some male friends you should go out somewhere interesting where girls go and maybe you will find a nice girl. This happens to all of us at some point in life so don't feel alone you sound nice and you will have love again. I. am older but experiencing the heartbreakk of being without the person I love and having other difficult dilemas and being without him with the other problems I am faced with I feel very alone these days all my best friends live out of state and I don't have anyone to hang out with. anymore and I have been put into a situation that I don't know how to get out of and it is very depressing and scary. As far as you go Girls Love a good sense of humor,Flowers and most of all we love a Romantic Man. Do not Try To Hang on To Her. If you do that will push her further away. Ifyou find other interests she might find she misses you.

I honestly think she did right by you by breaking up. I kind of get the feeling she has her eye on another dude. She is most likely with him already. Again, it was cool by her to do this. The alternative would be to lie to you.

So, I would try to look at this in a positive way. Long distance relationships don't work- trust me.

You need to have some fun. Do things you enjoy to take your mind off of her.

Keep busy and meet new people. There are so many interesting and beautiful girls out there.

    Don't miss out.
