Very good story,of this i see can only be a sure sign that the old saying that the grass isn't always greener on the other side,is truth indeed! Nothing like catching the bull by the horns! OUCH!

I think, if you remove the reference to itself

"This was to be

again

the perfect poem"

it will still present itself as an excellent work

but perhaps that would alter its intent...

Anyway, the style reminds me of my favorite poet

Perfect is subjective, but, then, that also makes it viable...to somebody...perhaps the intended audience!?! But it took all the "tumbled" "shadow" and boiled the doggone mental chaos right out of it with the last line...broke it down to KISS...the elemental mantra of every real writer...Keep It Simple...Sistah?!? Cuz I jes cain't call y'stoopit! ;)
