How can I get my ex-girlfriend back?

Question

I was with her for ten months. We were both each other's first boy/girlfriend, lost our virginity to each other, and shared amazing moments together. We're in a long-distance relationship now that she's in a college about three hours away.

It's only been a week and she breaks up with me last night saying things like:

"I want you to be happy with somebody else who you can see more often"
"I'm not sure if I love you anymore"
"I need some space"

I'm so hurt. I did not see this coming at all.

I know, it sounds like it's dead and over. But if she loved me before, she can love me again, right?

Please help! I really miss her and I don't wanna lose her.

We still remain friends, and we're really close, and I was planning on visiting her next week, and she said she'd still like it if I came.

If you ever want a second chance then do as she is asking & GIVE HER SPACE.
Obviously she is being upfront with you & letting you know what she needs. She is in college now & there are so many opportunities. She has to meet new people & experience her new life. Let her be. In the end maybe you two will end up together. If not respect that & move one. There are other women out there!
