I have not had to do correspondence courses since 2005, on the TADLP system. Now I'm trying to help my Soldiers sign up for correspondence courses and the site has changed so much and is much more complicated. How can I step by step explain how to sign up for courses? Thank you.

Now it's done through two sources www.usarmy.skillport.com and https://www.lms.army.mil./

Skillport is self explanatory, there are not sub courses on skillport, do a class get the hours

ALMS is more complicated you have to go to https://www.atrrs.army.mil/selfdevctr/ to sign up for classes and https://www.lms.army.mil/ > Enrollments to take classes. But you can get points faster through alms

Just go to https://www.atrrs.army.mil/selfdevctr/ in crs nbr search for 3g register for MODELING AND SIIMULATION BASICS COURSE and ABCS AND KNOWLEDGE MNGT SYNCHRONIZING COURSE they're both worth 600 hrs each, easy max out. to take the course go to https://www.lms.army.mil/ > Enrollments

none of those old "cheat sheets" work, so it's a waste of time to use them

once you complete a course, and pass exam(s) for that course, it should show up automatically on your ATRSS transcript with 24hrs (but usually instantly) and 2-5 days later on your PPW (promotion point worksheet), since it's all automated now.

remember it's 1 point for every 5 hours

with a max of 260 for Promotion to SGT and 280 for Promotion to SSG
