Where can I find a recipe to make home made Licor 43?
It's very similar to amaretto, and there are easily available recipes for amaretto. But I cannot find anything for Licor 43! I know it's supposedly made from 43 ingredients, but come on folks there's got to be a copy recipe that's close. What is it??

You think Licor 43 tastes like amaretto?
The thing is: amaretto is a type of drink, not a brand. Amaretto is almond-and-apricot-pit liqueur. Anyone can make it and no one owns a patent on the formula.
Licor 43, on the other hand, is a trademark. Therefore, they keep the recipe a closely-guarded secret.
If you started with gold rum, and got some citrus peels, some vanilla, some orange blossoms and some sugar, you'd get close, but you'd have to mess around with herbs and spices to get a dead copy.
