Why is my pommeranian so big?

she ways a stone and 3 pound she isnt overweight she is quite big, we originally thought she might have finnish spits in her. Can pommeranians get this big. if it helps she is just a little bit bigger than toy poodle

    She isn't full-blooded. A full-blood Pom wont get that big.

    How old is she? Dogs can get heavy, especially if they are active, and are able to add a lot of muscle. Also you may be over feeding her. Try not leaving out a bowl of food, for her to munch on all day long and refilling it when its empty. Most small dogs are content with 1 cup (8 oz.) of food a day, you could give her half, in the am half in pm. or just give it to her all at once and when its gone its gone. No table scraps, and try to limit the treats.

    She's probably mixed or just very poorly bred. I've seen abnormally large purebred (obviously not well bred) Pomeranians.

    it all comes down to her parents in the end. If she's purebred- if they were larger poms then she most likely would be too.
