will wired controller work with wireless xbox360?
I have the new xbox360 4GB slim with the wireless controller but i don't want to keep replacing batteries, is it possible to use the older controller with the cable on the newer platform ?

Yes. wired xbox 360 controllers plug into the xbox by USB. there are 3 usb ports on the xbox 360's and the new xbox 360 slim has 5 usb ports.

Of course. It's still an Xbox 360 and has USB ports on it where you can plug a wired 360 controller in. Original Xbox controllers will not work on it though.
