Stay at home mom-education and career advice?
I am a happily married, stay at home mom. I've been thinking about going back to school. After HS I went to cosmetology school and worked for almost 5 yrs and felt it wasn't for me.
I have explored in the medical field, patient care is not for me. I have a weak stomach and a sensitive sniffer. I do however like working with people. Patients, clients, strangers...
I've always been interested in ultra sound/sonography, but there are no schools in an 8 hr radius. And I am not confident I would easily find a job in our area, in that field.
Moving could possibly be an option, but with the economy as it is, I wouldn't want to jeopardize my husbands stable career, and ultimately our stable home.
I'm looking for an education more so for myself, I need more and want more. Because let's face it, my babies are going off to school in a couple of short years, and the stay at home mom position won't be needed. So I'm trying to prepare myself.
Where do I start? How do you even chose which way to go, I don't even know what I would love to do every day. How does a person figure that out? I have to start from scratch! (I wish they would force you to get an associates degree right after HS.) any advice?

It's now not such a lot that on-line schools are scams, they simply don't seem to be reliable. I have loved ones that works in HR and so they say they may not even take some time to seem over an program if a web based university is indexed as their schooling. What is so fallacious approximately hanging your youngster in daycare one or 2 days every week? What do you consider will occur while she's in preschool? Kids NEED social interplay. My daughter has a middle assault while she has the danger to play with different youngsters. I consider like a gigantic asshole for now not hanging her in daycare. And even though you do not wish to move that course....MANY dad and mom are SAHMs/SAHDs and move to tuition. You can set it up in which you best move one or 2 days every week and your partner or a loved ones member watches your youngster at the same time you are in school. You may not keep dwelling ceaselessly. You're making it sound such as you consider you'll be able to be caught at dwelling looking youngsters till you are 50.
