I don't know your finances. BUT!! Most middle and lower class would be hurt by his 9-9-9 flat tax plan.
Do you REALLY want to pay an additional 9% on everything that you buy? In addition you would pay a flat 9% tax on all of your income, which sounds good on the surface BUT there are no deductions. If you are a typical middle income earner you spend almost all or all of your income. That puts you at 18% on every dollar earned. A very large portion of the population does not pay that much.
The current trends in wages does not promise that middle class wages are going anywhere but down in the near future, so this plan stands to hurt even if we do have an increase in available jobs. Also keep in mind that unemployment benefits are subject to tax. Most unemployed now do not earn enough to have to pay tax, but this plan puts them at 18% for sure since it is an absolute that they spend every dollar.
Herman Cain's plan, like most Republican tax plans are regressive and ONLY attractive to either the wealthy or the unthinking.

He has GREAT ideas !!!!!!!
Cain 2012
Herman Cain's 999 Plan
Vision for Economic Growth
The natural state of our economy is prosperity. Freedom ensures that.
We must get the government off our backs, out of our pockets and out of our way in order to return to prosperity.
Policy uncertainty is killing the economy.
Economic Guiding Principles
Production drives the economy, not spending.
We can not spend our way to prosperity.
Government spending IS taxation.
Government spending is like taking a bucket of water from the deep end of the pool, pouring it in the shallow end. Then they HOPE that the water level will CHANGE.
Risk taking drives growth .
Business formation and job creation are dependent on entrepreneurs taking risks.
Investors who fund those entrepreneurs likewise take risks.
Measurements must be dependable.
A dollar must always be a dollar just as an hour is always 60 minutes.
Sound money is crucial for prosperity.

He's not my first choice, but I'd definitely vote for him over Perry, Romney, Bachmann, Santorum, and Gingrich.

He makes perfect sense to me.
Then again, I'm a wealthy, white American fascist who pulls the levers of power in this society from behind the scenes and I don't want people to think Republikkkans are racist.
Darn that Michael Steele for letting the cat out of the bag!
