Do Americans have rights?

Now that the government can and has sent drone planes to kill its own citizens, can Americans claim we have any right anymore? We certainly don't have the right to life or a quick and speedy trial as this story shows.

We have been losing our rights at breakneck speed since 911. See this:

  • If you are an enemy combatant or just some dumb fvck in a war zone, getting taken out by a military attack in a time of war is the chance you take. Was Lincoln a murderer or Washington, they killed thousands of citizens without trials too. They even did it here on American soil.

You don't have the right to anything. You have a number of privileges the government may deny you at any time, provided you don't protest.

Case and point the Patriot Act, which allowed for the infinite detainment of anybody SUSPECTED of criminal/terrorist activity without legal console or due process.

    Not if you commit treason.

There was a trial of sorts. Awlaki's father sued to get him removed from the "hit list", and the courts disagreed.

We do have rights. However, those rights are forfeit when treason is involved. The way I see it, uniting our enemies to try and destroy us would and should be considered treason.

If you are an American and declare war on the US, expect to be killed.

Bush eliminated our rights many years ago. These are just remnants of the old laws.

Defacto, he resigned his citizenship. There is no argument, he chose the wrong side, and now he is in pieces. EFF him.
