It would probably dry depending on your environment. Basic conditioner is also called instant conditioner by stylists you can leave it on longer and it will do nothing but irritate your scalp. Your hair can only absorb so much product, water etc..

If I were you, I would be EXTREMELY worried!!!! I hope this has or ever will happen to you. Hair conditioner has a chemical in it that can if left in for to ling can seep into your scalp and damage your brain cells. And even worse, in some extreme cases causes brain tumors!
