Wouldn't it be cheaper in the long run for the USA to just buy Mexico?

All immigration problems solved.

I think it would more fair if they paid us to take it.

In the long run the U.S will buy Mexico. But it's not like their going to go to the store and swipe a credit card. More likely through aid, trade agreements, legalization of marijuana, and other direct foreign policy the two North American countries will reach a point where Mexico is entirely assimilated into American culture, economics, and politics. Expect this around 2490, +/- 200 years.

But then we would have an extra couple million mexicans and they'd have US rights. They would have zero education, etc. It would be benificial if ALL of mexico immigrated to the US, which won't happen so no point. Mexico would also have to agree, as the US, and I doubt either would.

What good would that do, if the people in charge still don't respect our borders and let in everyone under the sun?

    No.

It would be better if the Mexican people made their own country a better place to live.
