Can't remove toilet hinges for toilet seat?
The toilet seat is made out of what i assume some type of hard plastic and is filled with money. It was a gift from more than 30 years ago bought in Las Vagas. Over the years the bolts that hold it to the toilet itself have rusted as well as the ones holding it together. I have tried every thing I can think of including WD40 to loosen it.so I can get it off.. It is quite valuable and I have already bought the replacement but can't get the screws or bolts to budge. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated. I checked on line and a new one runs $250.00 on Ebay. Thanks in advance.

If you can't unscrew the nuts, get a hacksaw blade and CUT the screw off. Hold the blade in your hand to cut the screw off.

Get a couple good pair of vice grips and try twisting to break the bolts. Or try a hack saw. Vice grips and drill. Bolt cutters if there is room. I know it is hard. WD40 is a lubricant it is not a rust solvent. Try something like liquid wrench. For that purpose. You have to be careful of the ceramic to not damage it.
