Tuned Amplifier circuit?

I require a tuned amplifier circuit which would give an output at 10 Khz frequency...I do not have any idea about how the circuit is...It would be really appreciated if anybody could help me out with a simple circuit for this..I tried surfing the internet,but couldn't figure out the exact thing i wanted.....Regards, Sarang

    Of course you couldn't find the exact circuit, that's why you need experience in designing circuit and knowledge of electronics to tackle this.

    This is a very unusual request. How sharp does the tuned circuit have to be, and how accurate is the center frequency have to be? What is the voltage gain, and the load resistance and source resistance?

    A simple circuit would be a CE transistor with a parallel tuned circuit in the collector.

    f = 1/(2π√(LC))

    2πf√(LC) = 1

    √(LC) = 1/2π•10000

    LC = 2.5e-10

    so a 10 mH coil and a 2.5e-8 = 25 nF cap would work

    or a 1 mH coil and a 250 nF cap (0.25µF)

    or 100µH and a 2.5µF cap

    Depends on the characteristics of the coil, ie, it's capacitance. Probably around 1 mH and 250 nF would be a place to start. Since both the coil and cap are probably somewhere around 10-20% tolerance, you should start low on the cap, say 200 nF and add caps in parallel to find the correct value, using a sweep generator and scope.

    10 kilohertz is an audio frequency, you don't want to use tank circuits at such a low frequency. If you just want to amplify frequencies up to 10 kHz you can use a low pass filter to remove the higher frequencies. If in fact you need to amplify only a 10 kHz signal a band pass filter should be used. Do an internet search on audio amplifiers and active band pass/ low pass filters.

    If you need to generate a 10 kHz frequency try a Wein bridge oscillator

    Use IC 741 , very simple and easy to make any frequency amplification under 1mc.

    Dig it out from any text book.

    you have have been given this backwards... the tuned tank circuit drives the output each and every of the time, and the fast classes of time that the transistor conducts drives the tank circuit. (Pulses from the transistor to the tank circuit substitute into smoothed by potential of the tank circuit.
