how do I eliminate echo from audio on my laptop?
When I play anything with an audio content on my laptop, it always sounds as if it's been recorded in somebody's bathroom. How do I make audio stuff sound more 'neutral'?

You will probably have a little sound enviroment app on your task bar (bottom right) look for icon eg realtek etc. If you double click this icon you will probably find that the enviroment has been set to hall or bathroom as you mentioned. Set default settings and that should do the trick.

Laptops generally have bad audio. I would recommend either getting a set of desktop speakers for it, or a decent headset. You won't be able to correct the problem. They just usually have bad speakers. I use headphones with my laptops and always have. But I prefer hearing my audio up close and personal and not broadcasting my crap to everyone.
