Is Obama serious when he says he wants to be a king or a dictator?

Obama has stated publicly in several town hall meetings his frustration with congress and the delays of getting his bills passed and dealing with political parties, his own and the opposition. His preferred style of governing would be to be a little emperor or dictator of very minute stature and importance. I emphasize the lack of impressiveness for his dictatorship due to his performance or lack thereof as president.

Update:

To those who do not believe in Obama's desire to bypass the constitutional method of governing, just listen to his speeches and answers to questions from the public and the press.

    Please provide actual quotes.

Or are you going to ignore this request?

@Justine 3: I plugged "I view the Constitution as a negative document , in that it severely limits what the Federal Government can and cannot do" into Google. Nothing came up (even with the quotes removed) that pertained to Obama.

In fact, as I tried to find the source of this, all I could find was YOUR posts, here at Y!A on the topic.

In any case, what you're likely (but incorrectly) referring to is that the Constitution does define a number of things that the Federal government CANNOT (hence the word "negative") do. True, it also has some things that the Federal government CAN do.

UPDATE: So, instead of finding actual quotes, you cop out with "To those who do not believe in Obama's desire to bypass the constitutional method of governing, just listen to his speeches and answers to questions from the public and the press." Yeah, very dishonest of you.

    I'm frustrated with Congress.

    I'm frustrated with political parties.

The Republicans are so concerned with 2012 and trying to keep things bad so they have a better chance in the elections and pandering to the tea bagger minority that they will not work with the Dems to help improve things. The middle class continues to get squeezed and all the folks in Congress can do is play politics.

The health care bil that passed was not the one President Obama put forward.

President Obama wants to increase taxes on the wealthiest 1% and decrease them on the rest of us.

President Obama has put forward a jobs bill that could actually help things. But the GOP want to make sure Big Corporate America gets more tax cuts so they want to stall it.

In the end, Congressional Republicans are more concerned with trying to win the White House in 2012. They are so concerned, they are doing everything they can to keep the economy from recovering.

If President Obama has expressed frustration with Congress....Good For Him. He's not the only one that's frustrated with them.

    No, that was Bush.

Yes, George W. Bush has stated he'd prefer to be a dictator at least three times, according to BuzzFlash.com:

    * * *

"You don't get everything you want. A dictatorship would be a lot easier." Describing what it's like to be governor of Texas.

    (Governing Magazine 7/98)

-- From Paul Begala's "Is Our Children Learning?"

"I told all four that there are going to be some times where we don't agree with each other, but that's OK. If this were a dictatorship, it would be a heck of a lot easier, just so long as I'm the dictator," Bush joked.

Yes, that old Constitution is a pesky thing.

Obama wants to get rid of it.

Exactly what is your source about that. Sounds like some crap that right wing radio tries to push out as a fact to their gullible listeners.

he probably is very serious. Thankfully, no President can become a king or dictator in this country.
