What makes a good ASL interpreter?

im starting a job soon and was wondering what is considered a good ASL interpreter. If there is anything i can work on to really help the kids im interpreting for.

    if you're not the person that gets distracted easily from listening -too much while reading signs, then you can do well!

    reading sign language is a must!

    to learn asl, HONESTLY you must social with the Deaf community!

    Go out camping! Go picnicing! Go to Deaf events! What ever you find in your area - online or though your state school for the Deaf alumni association or your state association of the Deaf.

    this way you'll understand Deaf culture and of course ASL!

    Take classes and social at the same time and keep socializing -forever!!!!

    good eye contact,

    display the sign language at counter level directly in front of you. Not to high or to low. And make the letters/words big, in flourishing letters.
