what is the real difference between american kenpo and kenpo 5.0?
i know jeff speak promotes it and has added groundwork to it. but is the kenpo system still the same while not doing groundwork? what do you think of it?

Kenpo is an art where any instructor can delete, add, modify, or change things around.
So I don't think there is one standard kind- it varies from teacher to teacher.

Just one persons personal spin on American kenpo. American kenpo has some of the most fractured organizations/schools around. Some guys are very good, some are totally horrendous. It can be hard to find good American kenpo Vs. the bad. Knowledgeable teachers have incorporated some ground work and the original system had nerve strikes in its methodology which seems to be lacking in most schools today. Jeff Speakman and Larry Tatum seem to be a great practitioners/teachers. You could do worse...
