Hi! From personal experience, I would 't call any if my children Melanie. As I hate the name Mel! I loath it, it's so bland. Melody, over all those other choices and if it helps at all my middle name's Beth. Just to clarify, my name's Melissa- but I get called 'Mel' an awful lot. Hope this helped! :D
