Unfortunately, the Bible isn't too specific about what exactly makes somebody a "Christian". Here are two references though that might help:
"the disciples were called Christians first in Antioch" (Acts 11:16)
"If ye continue in my word, then are ye my disciples" (John 8:31)
According to those passages, to be a "Christian" or a disciple of Jesus Christ, you have to "continue in his word". Basically do what he says. I can't speak for every Mormon but the ones that I know are kind, helpful, service oriented, and believe in Jesus Christ as Lord and Savior. They do a pretty darn good job of patterning their lives after what Jesus taught. So yes, I accept Mormons as Christians.

I don't view anyone who disregards any of God's Ten Commandments as Christian. And that might include pastor Robert Jeffress. (You asked!)
Source(s): Sin is "the transgression of the law." If there's no law, there's no sin, no need of a savior, and Christ's death was a horrible waste. - GregLv 710 years ago
No. If they're Christians then why should I not accept that Muslims are Christians? Since the reasons Mormons give would also apply to Muslims and they can be Christians also.
Heck, maybe everyone's a Christian. So long as we're removing all meaning from the word, why the heck not? Atheists, Hindu's, Jews, Muslims, you hear the good news? You're all Christians now.

Most "Christians" aren't Christians:
A Christian is someone who has received the Holy Spirit because “Christ” or “Messiah” means “anointed one” and the anointing is the Holy Spirit:-
“ . . . you are not in the flesh, but in the Spirit, if so be that the Spirit of God dwell in you. Now if any man have not the Spirit of Christ, he is none of his.” (Romans 8v9)
This began at Pentecost, and continues the same today:
“ . . . they were all filled with the Holy Ghost, and began to speak with other tongues, as the Spirit gave them utterance. . . having received of the Father the promise of the Holy Ghost, he has shed forth this, which you now SEE and HEAR. . . For the promise is unto you, and to your children, and to ALL that are afar off, even AS MANY AS the Lord our God shall call.” (Acts 2v4, 33, 39)

Yes, I do. Because I am both. Members of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints (Mormon is just a common nickname) are Christians.

Rick Perry denies such a belief that they are non-Christians
They are part of a growing missionary movement -- If Mormons are NOT Christians, then the world count of who are part of Christianity is diminished greatly . . .

I accept anyone who believes in and follows the truth of Jesus Christ as christian. We are ALL wrong and disobedient in some form or another, ONLY Jesus can rectify that. Proverbs 19:29 God Bless

No, Mormons are not Christians and never were.
Firstly, they believe that they can become gods themselves and that there are many gods in the universe, each one in charge of a planet. This makes them polytheistic.
Christianity believes in one God only:
Mark 12:29 (KJV) And Jesus answered him, The first of all the commandments [is], Hear, O Israel; The Lord our God is one Lord:
Another problem of Mormonism is that they believe that Jesus visited ancient cities in the Americas and Joe Smith named names and places. Fifty years ago the Smithsonian said that there was not a shred of evidence that any of the places in the book of Mormon were real.

I think otherwise. Mormonism is not a cult but a heresy. It deviates from orthodox Christian doctrine in several areas.

No since they believe that Satan told Eve the truth in the garden of eden and she and adam had to eat the fruit in order to progress/gods, and they disobeyed God, this clearly shows whom they truly worship.
