4 AnswersElections9 years agoEmergency Managers in Michigan. Is this for real? Does a state Governor have that much power?
The Governor removed and fired all elected officials. Give authority to unelected emergency managers with unlimited powers to whatever they need to do. Isn't this a declaration of martial law? Is this constitutional? If you have information regarding this issue, Please share it with us here in Yahoo Answers.
Thank you. Peace be with you.

5 AnswersTheatre & Acting9 years agoIf people have found true religious faith, then how can it be possible to lose true faith?
This is taken from Mother Teresa's confession of her lost faith in god.
http://www.time.com/time/magazine/article/0,9171,1...
That absence seems to have started at almost precisely the time she began tending the poor and dying in Calcutta, and — except for a five-week break in 1959 — never abated. Although perpetually cheery in public, the Teresa of the letters lived in a state of deep and abiding spiritual pain. In more than 40 communications, many of which have never before been published, she bemoans the "dryness," "darkness," "loneliness" and "torture" she is undergoing. She compares the experience to hell and at one point says it has driven her to doubt the existence of heaven and even of God. She is acutely aware of the discrepancy between her inner state and her public demeanour. "The smile," she writes, is "a mask" or "a cloak that covers everything." Similarly, she wonders whether she is engaged in verbal deception. "I spoke as if my very heart was in love with God — tender, personal love," she remarks to an adviser. "If you were [there], you would have said, 'What hypocrisy.'" Says the Rev. James Martin, an editor at the Jesuit magazine America and the author of My Life with the Saints, a book that dealt with far briefer reports in 2003 of Teresa's doubts: "I've never read a saint's life where the saint has such an intense spiritual darkness. No one knew she was that tormented." Recalls Kolodiejchuk, Come Be My Light's editor: "I read one letter to the Sisters [of Teresa's Missionaries of Charity], and their mouths just dropped open. It will give a whole new dimension to the way people understand her."

9 AnswersReligion & Spirituality9 years agoWhy does early Christians plagiarized the dogma of Hell from pagan philosophers Plato and Virgil?
I mean why couldn't they have some original thoughts or revealation from the almighty? After all wouldn't they just as easily create their own Hell? They did the same thing with the doctrine of the Trinity, They plagiarized the doctrine from the Hindu Trimurti (Brahma, Vishnu and Shiva). I mean couldn't they have invented their own Trinity? Further more why did it took then till 325 A.D. to finally make Christ become a person in the Trinity when the doctrine of Trinity was not ever found in the Pentateuch? If you have any tthoughts, beliefs, understandings, revealations, please feel free to share it with us.here in Yahoo Answers. Thank you. Peace be with you.

4 AnswersElections10 years agoThe U.S. Supreme Court have given Corporations Personhood. Would they be given the right to suffrage?
I mean if corporations have people rights and they have the right to exercise the Frist Amendment rights to free speech. So why stop there? Afterall the right of suffrage is part of the first Amendment.
1 AnswerElections10 years agoDoes Herman Cain have a chance to become the Republican presidential candidate?
I mean we all know that Herman Cain is doing his best to become the republican's presidential nominee. But let's be honest. The republican are doing it's outmost to get rid of a black president with all its power, including driving America to the ditch. And do you really think they will allow another black man to run under the republican party banner? Clearly that will not be in line with their agenda.

21 AnswersReligion & Spirituality10 years agoOccupy Wall Street! Did this phenomena manifest spontaneously?
Are there any indication of some structure or leadership behind the protests? This protest has been going on of about 3 weeks already but it's claer there is no structure or leadership that is driving the movement. If these protesters expect any kind of success, they need to have some form of leadeship and strategy to deal what they are up against with and a goal or objectives. I seriously doubt the tea-drinkers have any thing to do with this, There leadership is busy trying to produce a viable presidential candidate to run against Obama, as well as they are are bought sheeples of Wall Street. If my hunch is correct, this may be the beginning of a class struggle, the 99 % percent disenfranchised have-nots againt the one % percent that owned of America. If you think otherwise, Please share your opinion with us here in Yahoo Answers. Thank you and peace be with you.
