Does Herman Cain have a chance to become the Republican presidential candidate?
I mean we all know that Herman Cain is doing his best to become the republican's presidential nominee. But let's be honest. The republican are doing it's outmost to get rid of a black president with all its power, including driving America to the ditch. And do you really think they will allow another black man to run under the republican party banner? Clearly that will not be in line with their agenda.
If you think otherwise, I would appreciate your sharing your opinion with us here in Yahoo Answer. Thank you and peace be with you.

I don't think he will lose because he is black. He will lose because his breathtaking incompetence and ignorance is now becoming apparent. For example, he says he 'doesn't have enough knowledge at present' about Afghanistan to be able to articulate a policy. It's a war that's been going on for TEN YEARS and he doesn't have an opinion? Also, his 9-9-9 plan is coming under scrutiny and it is obvious he doesn't know what he is talking about.
Cain's star will fade very soon.

Come on, Mike! You have never even seen the "platform of the TEA Party", but I would not put it past you to know the KKK inside and out! lol
Really, libs! It is people like that on YA that give the rest of you a horrible reputation. I figured at least one objective, reasonable, and fair lib existed here and would speak out against that kind of slanderous, race baiting, ignorant, biased, unfounded, ridiculous rant, but I guess not! lol
Cain is doing his best as an outsider with no political or campaign experience. Realistically, he has no chance because he will not be able to raise enough money to fight Obama on equal ground. Also, please remember that this time in the 07 election cycle, certain RNC and DNC candidates were peaking in the polls while Obama was tanking and NONE of the ones peaking even came close to winning the nomination, much less the presidency.
We have a long time until the nominating process has run its course and we will see many more peaks and front runners before we know who the nominee is for the GOP.
Yes. Cain is not an "establishment" candidate, but just about anyone for the GOP would be better than Obama!

It's got absolutely nothing to do with race with Cain or Obama. I sure wish liberals would get that through their thick heads.
It's about job skills, experience and policies, period.
I am not a Cain fan for one reason only, it's the 9% sales tax. No way do I think that is a good idea. I live in tax free NH and we have no sales and no income tax. I like it that way. If we have to raise revenue we find other ways to do so, which include property taxes, toll booths and various other things that work quite well. A sales tax prohibits economic growth and would be a hardship to the elderly as they would be taxed on medicine, food and clothing. Wrong choice for us all.
Cain is a nice guy, he appeals to the type of person who is responsive to advertising. His "999" plan is exactly like "Hey, but one large pizza with 4 toppings for $9.99" it sounds like a good deal and it's a catchy phrase. Do not fall for that phrase.
As for Obama, his race has little to do with his lack of performance and how he has sunk us further in debt and we are worse off economically than we have been in the past.
We need something different and I don't care what race or gender that person it, just that they get the job done and help our country get back on it's feet.
In the meantime, buy American made products to help keep American jobs HERE. If we all resolved to at least LOOK at the choices we have before us whenever we make a purchase, we can truly help our country without any politician getting involved. We need jobs here and we need all our citizens to think before they buy anything.

Rasmussen has Cain BEATING Obama if the election were held today. He is the only candidate so far who has this high ratings in the polls. I don't know if he will win, it is still too early. However, his skin color has nothing to do with it. Personally I didn't like Obama's lack of experience & Cain has no political experience, however he does have a great track record in business leadership skills which is more than Obama had. If the election were today between these two, I would vote for Cain.

Yes he does. When Barack Obama was sworn in as President of the United States, even those who opposed his liberal policies secretly had a fleeting moment of patriotic pride. America had elected our first African-American president. Finally, our nation had overcome the injustices of the past and "the dawn of a new day" had arrived where most Americans were no longer judging or being judged based on skin color.

Regrettably, the feeling of national dignity was short lived. As it turned out, Barack Obama's goal was to get "others to think more highly" of Barack Obama than the nation whose citizens he was elected to lead.
What a shame. Truth is, the most unfortunate aspect of having Obama as America's first black president is that it is Obama who is America's first black president.
If only the first choice had been an outstanding man of color like Allen West or the spectacular Herman Cain. Both are patriotic individuals who love and recognize their country's greatness. Moreover, despite the reality of past injustices, unlike Barack Obama, Cain and West choose to dwell on the benefits of individual responsibility, unlimited opportunity, and patriotic allegiance to America.
One thing is for sure: No one could ever accuse the outspoken Herman Cain of disagreeing with Barry purely because of skin color. Cain is bold as a lion and unafraid to debate Obama on the merits of conservative philosophy. In his 2011 CPAC speech, Mr. Cain rightly identified the three liberal tactics of "shifting the subject, ignoring the facts, and name-calling," which Cain "bundles together with the acronym 'SIN.'" http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9ZDkacOveF0
Many believe the man who some refer to as the "Hermanator" could be President Obama's "worst nightmare http://www.wnd.com/index.php?fa=PAGE.view&pageId=1... -- a business mastermind, a natural problem solver and a black man of 'substance' who says he would 'take the race card off the table' in a challenge against Obama as the GOP presidential candidate in 2012." o_O

Yes, he had a good chance but I think he lost a lot of support when he stated his support of continuing to give power to the Federal Reserve who under Woodrow Wilson, via an act of bad congressmen, began the ruin of America.,

I am color blind when it comes to people and it doesn't matter to me if Obama or Cain have lots of pigment in their skins or not. I think intelligent voters will vote on the issues, not on skin pigment. However, I heard a foolish man tell me last night that he will vote for any woman who runs just because she is a woman.
I think that is sexist, and it is racist and stupid to vote for a leader based on their color or their sex.

it has nothing to with SKIN COLOR it's that he has been a awful President.
Have you ever heard of emancipation, freedom or equality.
I vote for the person and what they represent not skin color, I don't care what color President Obama is Jimmy Carter was white and He was booted out too for the same reason FAILURE.

Anyone but Paul.
I doubt though that Cain can win over Obummer. Romney is the only saving grace of the GOP in 2012.
- NONAMELv 610 years ago
Nope. Ron Paul is winning. Herman Cain will be exposed to be a liar soon just like all the other neo-cons.
Read the source before you thumbs down ffs! lol

Sure! I'd love to see a debate where Barry calls Cain a racist!
Rasmussen (typically accurate) has him in a statistical tie with Barry!
