Are artificial flowers acceptable for family remembrance?

During the winter period do you consider that artificial flowers are acceptable to place on a family grave to keep it looking respectable till the spring?

I have put them on my Parents grave Tango, most of the graves around theirs have artificial ones during the winter, you can get some artificial flowers that look so real. but then at Christmas i add a wreath which is fresh and also add some fresh flowers to the artificial ones too...Especially as the graveyard where my Parents are is so far away, it's the thought that counts and the fact that you want to keep the grave looking nice during the winter that counts, not if the flowers are fresh or artificial....

I think artificial flowers are fine for a grave, as long as they are decent quality and don't look too fake. It looks a lot better than dead real flowers. My mom puts artificial flowers on her dad's grave because she can't afford to buy real flowers every couple of weeks, but she buys them at the art store and they look real. I wouldn't send artificial flowers to an actual funeral though.

    Nope.

Fresh flowers cost more in the winter but it's for a deceased love one.

Dip into the wallet and replenish the flowers as necessary.
