Why are the Boeing 787's Registered in Albania?

I was doing some research on the 787 and I noticed that the tail numbers for all the test aircraft start with ZA, which from my understanding is the Albanian registration code (Not quite sure of the official name for that). Could any aviation expert tell me why?

    Wrong assumption -

ZA021 is a line number - production number given to an airplane at Boeing factory -

Albania is certainly not involved with Boeing production or registries -

I know Albania... would be about the last nation Boeing would produce airplanes -

    Albania registry would be 5 letters i.e. ZA-ABC -

Type B-787 ZA-xxx - you will be redirected to Airliners Net -

The explanation will be what your read from my note here above -

All test airplanes from Boeing are N registered - no exceptions -

Until given a delivery registration of the airline/country of customer airline -

Those are not registration numbers. New aircraft off the line are not registered until the owner/operator take possession of them. They typically mark them with it's line number up to the point of delivery.

The RAF have tail numbers beginning with ZA - VC10's so it has nothing to do with Albania.^

Not an expert, but if they were test aircraft, then it means Boeing is doing the testing in Albania and probably even doing final assembly there. I wondered how long it would take for Boeing to bring out a replacement for the Hawker Siddley 787.
