Question about silence and loudness.?

If you are ever in a bathroom, or small quiet room and there is no noise outside or inside, the silence is almost deafening. If you understand what I mean, you will get what I say. Complete silence is almost 'loud' in a sense. If that makes sense to you, please comment on this. Thanks!

Thus the old saying, "The silence is deafening." ... When it's REALLY quiet, our bodies generate their own sounds. The main one is we can hear the blood pounding in our ears. Some people can even hear their heart beating. Then we have what doctors call "Bowel tones", caused by the motion of gasses and liquids in our digestive tracts. And when we get older, (if we still have good hearing), we can hear the creaking and popping of our joints.

I know what you mean. Perhaps it leads to the theory that there is no true silence?
