Christians- If God says to be saved you just have to believe in Jesus, why do we have to believe the Bible?
Is absolutely everything written in my diary true?
When did God say "You have to believe in the Bible which will be written years from this moment"?
POP- Yes, of course. Can my mother know me without reading my diary? Or did she not give birth to me, nor do I exist until every person reads my diary?
People can not openly communicate with God? Then what's prayer for?
Can I not have any kind of relationship with God besides reading a book?

Hi :)
Believing in Jesus as Saiour is the first step to salvation.
When we first meet with Jesus our life changes, we have a new desire to know more about this amazing person and His love for us...so the Bible is the next step to getting to know Christ and in turn God. It's the most exciting book you will ever read, and getting to know Him is indescribable to be honest :)
When we love Him we believe Him and His word, the Holy Bible.
Start talking to Him and see where He leads you...God is able to speak to you many ways.
God bless you with happy days :))

Calmly I am going to attempt to speak respectfully to you about my opinions. I hope you in turn will give me respect. In addition to being a great teacher and knowing a great teaching opportunity when he saw one (read the Fig tree in CONTEXT and then you tell ME what he was trying to say. It's obvious.), part of my personal beliefs are that Jesus WAS God, but God in a limited form. So while accepting the limitations of humanity that ALLOWED him to die for our sins, he also had to accept the limitations that allowed him to be tempted-he was fully human, so that when he made his sacrifice it would MEAN something. It's like a bird.....a bird is a bird because it flies. But if it chooses to limit itself by walking as they do from time to time, it is not less of a bird. So my beliefs are that in order to make a real sacrifice of himself, he had to FULLY accept being human, with every limitation. Because he was God in spirit he was able to rise above an commit no sin, but because his body and brain were human, he was still able to be tempted. IMO, that also answers the other things-he had accepted human limitations and therefor his human mind could not grasp Godly information. This is also why he said only the Father knew certain things. However the Bible is clear that while they were one spirit ("Any man who has seen me has seen the father" and others) that Christ was limited due to voluntary human state, and did have distinctive qualities that were a direct result of human limitation. My faith is not silent, nor is it fragile. I have answered sincerely what I hope were sincere questions. These are just my beliefs. And you are quite demanding and rude. I certainly don't demand that you justify your beliefs to me and then belittle your faith or lack therof when your answers do not satisfy me. Why so angry?

Because Jesus told His apostles that what they prohibit on earth will be prohibited in heaven, and what they allow on earth will be allowed in Heaven, so the writings of the apostles are very significant.
Yes, I read this in the Bible, but if you deny the Bible's truth what are you meant to believe about Jesus?
The Bible was written by Jesus' apostles, honest and Godly mean filled with the Holy Spirit. It was then copied out by other honest and Godly men. The manuscripts for the Bible are dated so near to the time of its events that it is historically reliable, and there was no time for myths and lies to arise.
God bless.

God has never said anything. Only man has said these things. Read the bible and search your heart. Read every bit of literature you can read in your search to understand this world and what it all means. Don't believe anything you read. Have skepticism and research everything to the best of your ability.

Can you know Him without Knowing His word?
edit: Your mother can know you without reading your diary because she has a relationship with you and openly communicate to you through "words". The difference is God speaks through "written words" but not limited to them.

I am General Baptist.
First, that is not all you have to do to be saved. You also have to repent of your sins, and ask for forgiveness from God and Jesus.
And I don't think it says you HAVE to believe in the bible (most Christians do), there are religions who don't, but I do personally believe it to be the Word of God.
