Isn't that a Parakeet?? There's no worries about being around birds and having contact with them during pregnancy.

There is no particular risk associated with contact with pet birds during pregnancy.

But it is always sensible to be careful about hygiene. Washing hands after handling birds, especially before preparing food or eating, is a necessary precaution.

Birds can carry a disease known as psittacosis, which can cause a type of pneumonia.

This would be very unpleasant of you caught it but would not pose any specific threat to your developing baby.

It's safe. I have an Indian ringneck parrot that's healthy. Haven't heard of anything against owning one unless it has some disease. it's okay :)

It is perfectly ok. Just take care of normal hygiene rules and there will be no problem.
