Did you ever have a “I can’t do it” moment when giving birth?

To all the mommies out there.. I am soon to be a first time mom and I am extremely scared and anxious about giving birth. But at the same time excited because I just want my little one out already. I want to meet and hold her so badly. I’ve gotten so anxious to the point that my mind over thinks the worst like that I won’t be able to get through it and they might need to perform a c-section because I’m terrified of my vagina tearing. But then I remember how my body was made to do this.. can I get some positivity please? The day is almost here. I’d really appreciate it. Thank you!!

My sister did. She started begging and crying. I teased her about it after. Then when I was giving birth I did the exact same thing so I apologized for teasing her. My midwife said almost every woman has the "I can’t do it” moment (especially first time mothers). It happens towards the end when you don't think you have enough strength left to do it - but you find it. I was cut down there before it could tear but they sewed me up straight after the birth and I didn't even feel it. I was up and walking back to my room with the baby within an hour.

It's totally normal to be scared but just keep your eye on the prize. If it was that bad no one would have a second child.

I wish you all the best. Take care.
