Help me connect to the internet?
Hi there! In my sister's room is the router for our house. My mom's laptop can connect to our wifi as can the three iPhones, the Wii, and the Nintendo DS's. Buuuuuut my computer wont. I have a Belkin USB adapter. It can find out network and the neighbors, but it wont connect to ours. Jut to give it a shot, I tried to connect to a neighbor's. I got to the enter password screen which is farther than I can get on my own network. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks! Jenna

May be your router is not broadcasting the signal unless you but on manually. You can copy from your sister or mum the details and but it manually. There is also if your card is 802.11b or g and the router is not broadcasting you need to go to the configuration page of your router and change it. Good luck

The reason why is becuz there are to many ppl using the WiFi way u do is connect to one of their computers that is connected to the WiFi its not picking up cuz so many things are connected try to see if u can feed off one of the others could one of them have to many systems connected I know cuz I have the Wii the Xbox the three laptops the 5 phones feeding off one another

you dont always need to search for a network... you can type in your network information manually to connect. try unplugginf the router for 30 seconds and pulg it back in and try again. good luck
