both. at southern part of Mindanao mostly are Suni and of Northern part, Shiite.

It says that the vast majority of Muslims are Sunni, with various estimates showing that 10 – 13% to 10 – 20% are Shia. So Muslims in Mindanao were Sunni.

sunni muslims predominates in philippines.. they have mass population here in mindanao.. particularly at western mindanao.. shiite muslims lives in Lanao and maranao area.. while most sunnis live in basilan, cotabato and tawi2.
