Have you ever reacted to a movie in the opposite emotion that was intended?

As in, cried when you should have laughed, laughed when you should have cried, been angry instead of happy etc.

yes, I was watching this Hindi film "Kal Ho Na Ho"(Trans- Tomorrow may or may not come) in which the lead character has cancer and will die in a month or two. Everybody cried after watching the film but I laughed like crazy. Actually it wasn't my fault. Most of the film was a rom-com. I have been laughing so much through the film that I just couldn't cry or feel sad towards the end, when the lead is about to die.

Yes I have, there are scenes which were meant to be serious that I have laughed about. This usually means the movie was not written well!! lol But some horror movies make me laugh too

The Mist - The end is supposed to be shocking or sad or something. I laughed my *** off.

Click - It's supposed to be a comedy (I think) but it was so depressing. It's a crap movie anyway

Avatar- I found myself rooting against the stupid Navi Avatar people.

Funny Games- the family being terrorized was so unlikeable, I sympathized with the 2 guys.

Horror movies, or where there is a tragic emotional death. I tend to laugh for some reason. cos i think of how ridiculous that death is lol :/
