I downloaded combat arms from cnet, but now when I launch it from their website, it always says i have a monitor program running in the background and i need to stop it and it won't let me launch the game.

kinda wierd? Close all programs when playing and if you are already doing that, switch to a different browser.
also do Ctrl-Alt-Del and go to task manager and then go to process and just check through there for any "weird" things running. maybe something to do with monitor?
