    poor parts of Manila.

My wife and I discussed this today. Shes from Cagayan de oro and said they have problems in the squatter slums with drunken fights that can result in people pulling out guns, and burglary in some areas that arent gated.I have actually read somewhere that CDO is one of the safest cities in the country.

She said in manila, they experience things that are very rare in CDO.Armed robberies, people yanking taxicab doors open and stealing peoples items, and car theft, where people steal cars to dismantle them and resell the parts or reassemble cars using stolen parts from multiple cars (particularly in makati, where richer people are working at new buildings while being surrounded by the poor people who have been there for generations).

we've heard an identical remark back and back... human beings say that Mindanao isn't secure and persons there are savages... We even had a relative from Cebu who got here right here for the 1st circulate to wearing a bullet evidence vest. it is actual that there are factors that are risky... There are cities and highways the place traveling at night is a raffle... for the reason which you will Northern Mindanao the place i'm at present located i'm able to assure you that maximum of our streets are safer than those in Manila throughout the time of Christmas... That vouch is from Surigao in the East purely as much as Cagayan de Oro in the West... offered which you do not do irrational issues, we are non violent human beings... yet recommendations you we even have harsh and violent previous stories that we tend to motel to weapons in case you quite bypass us as quickly as... it is not that we are violent, it is only that we won't be able to count lots on our regulation enforcers and the courts...

The most dangerous parts of the Philippines are near any ALL GIRL NURSING SCHOOL!

Capiz is nice. Very probinsya. I'll take Aswang any day over nursing students! Ay!

PS-People should ask these question in the Philippines section, rather than the USA section...

Aside from Mindanao I would say the most dangerous spots are concentrated around the metro area. If you stick out like a sore thumb, I would suggest you bring friends with you when you go about your business.

If you maintain a low profile every time. No fancy dresses, No Jewelry. Not to noisy. I think you'll survive and go along just fine. Except of course in some provinces like Mindanao, where soldiers and rebels most of times engaged in some firefights.

Even when you are in the safest place but becoming so obnoxious, you will be beaten by the locals.

Capiz? what about capiz? Aswang ba?

Lamitan, Basilan, Tawi-Tawi. Balut Island, those places are dangerous to go. Capiz is nothing, it's safe there, and Aswang is not true.
