8 AnswersReligion & Spirituality9 years agoDo i need to shampoo my hair after swimming at the beach?
I'll be going on a holiday soon where I will most likely be swimming at the beach everyday. Do i need to shampoo my hair everyday, or will just rinsing it under water do the trick? I'm a guy by the way, If that makes any difference.

1 AnswerImmigration10 years agoHow strong is the belief of aswang in Roxas?
I've been to Roxas with my family 4 or so times in the last 6 years to stay with my relatives. We stayed with my lola in her village, which is right in front of a strip of mountains that are around the area. I don't recall hearing the word aswang, but there were a few things that I now consider a bit weird, maybe to do with that folklore?
(Probably not aswang related) The first time was when i went with my cousins up one of the mountains, and a few days later I had an infection from what must've been a mosquito bite (my fault for not wearing repellant). Unexpectedly an old man, maybe the village healer lol, came with a duck egg, charcoal, and some other stuff, and did some sort of ritual on me.
The second time we went up the mountain was late afternoon, our aim was to reach the peak. But on the way up we ran into what looked to be a rundown house which someone apparently lived in. I recall them saying it was a witch, but I thought it was all just some joke that the villagers made up. The cousins didn't want to go any further from there.
I also heard that there used to be a festival called Aswang

16 AnswersPhilippines10 years agoInformation about the Maguindanao Tragedy?
I heard about the tragedy that occurred in 2009, and was wondering if you could provide some information on it. Basically, what provoked this to occur? Who did it, and why? Was justice ever served for what they did? Was it all over the news? How has it effected Maguindanao?
2 AnswersPhilippines10 years agoHave you ever been called Joe by a Filipino local?
My dad's a kiwi, so being a whitey, attention seems to follow him whenever we go to my mum's hometown of Roxas. So anyway, "Joe" seems to be a favorable name given to him by a lot of locals, whether it was because he's just a foreigner, and they don't see many foreigners, or maybe because they believed his name was Joe, which i highly doubt lol.
I was just wondering if this is commonplace throughout regional areas of the Philippines? As it has never occurs to him in Manila.
Oh and have you ever been called Joe?
