How strong is the belief of aswang in Roxas?

I've been to Roxas with my family 4 or so times in the last 6 years to stay with my relatives. We stayed with my lola in her village, which is right in front of a strip of mountains that are around the area. I don't recall hearing the word aswang, but there were a few things that I now consider a bit weird, maybe to do with that folklore?

(Probably not aswang related) The first time was when i went with my cousins up one of the mountains, and a few days later I had an infection from what must've been a mosquito bite (my fault for not wearing repellant). Unexpectedly an old man, maybe the village healer lol, came with a duck egg, charcoal, and some other stuff, and did some sort of ritual on me.

The second time we went up the mountain was late afternoon, our aim was to reach the peak. But on the way up we ran into what looked to be a rundown house which someone apparently lived in. I recall them saying it was a witch, but I thought it was all just some joke that the villagers made up. The cousins didn't want to go any further from there.

I also heard that there used to be a festival called Aswang

Oh yes, they do have an Aswang festival held annually. It's not only in Roxas, almost everywhere Filipinos have very strong beliefs in witches and the like. Up until now, there are village healers, or albularyos that use herbs and other stuff like garlic to cure some diseases. Thing is, this actually works, according to what I heard from some of my friends who had encountered such albularyos.

They reside usually in remote barangays, where technology hasn't reached the place yet. But even in developed places, there are still albularyos around, and sometimes even the rich people, when desperate, turn to the help of these healers when doctors cannot do anything more for the sick person.

Also, I've heard of aetas who go house to house saying stuff like there are bad spirits in your house so you have to buy a sort of potion and some pendants to protect yourself. So basically I respect these beliefs but sometimes Filipinos are just so superstitious.

The Aswang Festival has been created for tourism purposes and to feed the people's couriosity. An idea to use the negative impression, reputation into positive way to help the town.

Actually the aswangs are not in Roxas nor in Capiz, they are all working with government. Most of them are in high position for your information, the flying voters and the mystery of the missing funds are all in safe hands with the aswangs. They also wreck your bones, eat your flesh, suck your blood, The pain of needles & blades in your skull, the itchiness of your skin, so no wonders the Filipinos are walking hallucinated zombies.

we are in the 21st century and beliefs of vampires and Dracula's legends still the headlines, top story for the filipinos ! ! ! unbelievable but true. what a shameful story that is, in europe we are hunting ghost existence in castles and palaces while you over there is making fast for something that don't exist. believe the devils existence that's better because he does exist, the work of ghosts it is them, because dead once they are dead they can not haunt humans since they are dead but the devil can imitate the living person and his gestures and habit. believing vampires appeased the heart of the devil and he feels happy, if only true that he got a tail then his wagging his tail in happiness, but he doesnt got a tail, he's a beautiful creature since he used to be an angel.

by the way dracula does exist and it's his real name, he came from romania, but he never got two sharp teeth to suck blood he's like you and me, he's a count and he got a castle in romania where they filmed the films of dracula.the reason why the legend says he sucks blood, its because of his bad character when he is upset with someone, because he's rich and tyrant, dominant person, with his servants they kidnap those who oppose to him, he kills them and drink his blood, that's how the story started, but he's not what the film describes.
